And I wouldn’t have vented like that if my husband agreed to go see her and hang out but he wanted peace and quiet with me and his family, especially after working 80 plus hours per week in Afghanistan. I’m not trying to sound like a dick,I swear, but his friends just stopped talking to him when he went back to Afghanistan because of what HE wanted. And I get that he has friends, but when they started pressuring me about him and when he’ll be home, that’s crossing the line. And I understand his friends are important, but im his wife and family now and I vented because they don’t seem to understand that,at all. Thanks for reading though,it was nice to tell more to it,even just an anon.
Leave starts on Monday, but he has Friday off so it’s the start of our summer together:] drinking, cookout, and packing up this weekend. A week from tomorrow we leave for Maryland for two weeks of hanging out with our parents, going to the Aquarium in Baltimore, trains to dc and back, and moms homecooked meals. I’m really looking forward to summer like I never have before. For once, I’m the one with exciting stuff happening:)
When we come home, our bah will have kicked in and we can move into our apartment together. In hoping to sightsee around here. Alaska is beautiful, and I’m glad I can rediscover it for myself.
Here’s to a summer of fishing, drinking, mudbogging, and everything in between:)
We got an amazing deal on it too,I’m so excited:D June 28th is the move in date

Anonymous asked: You are number one in his life, but not the only one its hard to realize that, but its true. You can't expect him to dump everyone else just to hang out with you. Thats not fair to anyone. |
We found the memorial for Danny Chen, the soldier who committed suicide because he was bullied while he was on deployment to Afghanistan. Turns out he was stationed here, and one of my husbands buddies knew him.
Bullying is absolutely despicable.
